HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERSEPSI ACADEMIC DISHONESTY DAN SELF EFFICACY DENGAN PERILAKU ACADEMIC DISHONESTY PADA MAHASISWA (Studi pada Mahasiswa Psikologi di Kotamadya Surakarta)
Abstract
Using self-administrated survey method among undergraduate student majoring Psychology in City of Surakarta, we measure empirically the relationship between perceived academic dishonesty, self-efficacy, and academic dishonesty behavior. Peceived academic dishonesty scale, general self-efficacy (GSE) scale, and self- reported academic dishonesty behavior questionare were used in this research.
Rusult of Pearson-correlation test found that there is negative correlation between perceived academic dishonesty and academic dishonesty behavior with strong relationship was indicated by correlation coefficient at -0,553. There is negative correlation between self-efficacy and academic dishonesty behavior with weak relationship was indicated by correlation coefficient only at -0,060.
Exciting other findings is that all participant (100%) report that they were do the academic dishonesty in varied model and frequencies. This research also find that there is significant difference academic dishonesty behavior between male and female student, where academic dishonesty more frequently do by male student. Then, there is no significant difference academic dishonesty behavior between early level student and end level student. Last but not least, there is no relationship between Grade Passing Academic (GPA) and academic dishonesty behavior,
