Hubungan antara Parent Attachment dan Kompetensi Sosial pada Remaja Tengah di Sumatera Barat

Abstract

Social competence is an individual’s skill or capacity that relates to other people and participates in a fun social context. One of the influences of social competence is the attachment between parents and children. Teens who have high attachment will have high social competence and vice versa. The purpose of this research is to see the relationship between attachment and social competence of adolescents in West Sumatra. Participants in this study were 150 adolescents aged 15-17 years. The technique used in this research is random sampling. The analytical method used is the person product moment correlation test with the help of SPSS 20.0 for windows. The results showed that the sign value was 0.00 (p <0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the attachmet and the social competence of adolescents in West Sumatra.

Abstrak :
Kompetensi sosial merupakan keahlian atau kapasitas indiviu yang bekaitan dengan orang lain serta berpartisipasi dengan kontek sosial yang menyenangkan. Kompetensi sosial dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh Attachment antara orang tua dan anak. Remaja yang memiliki attachment yang tinggi akan memiliki kompetensi sosial yang tinggi dan sebaliknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara attachment dengan kompetensi sosial remaja di Sumatera Barat. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 150 orang remaja yang berusia 15-17 tahun. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah random sampling. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi person product moment dengan bantuan SPSS 20.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sign 0.00 (p < 0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara attachmet dengan kompetensi sosial remaja di Sumatera Barat.
